New Song “Raven Sky,” Theme Song for the Movie “Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo,” Set for Digital Release on Friday, October 16!
“Raven Sky,” the new song chosen as the theme song for the movie Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo starring Shun Oguri (releasing in theaters Friday, October 23), is set for digital release on Friday, October 16!
“Raven Sky” serves as the theme song for the US-Japan co-production film “Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo”. The track was composed by Grammy Award-winning musician Masa Takumi, with lyrics co-written by Kanata Okajima, a music producer who has provided songs both in Japan and internationally, and Seann Bowe, an American Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and producer. The song captures a world evocative of reincarnation, conveying the idea that “even if something decays away, it connects to the future,” symbolized through a broken-winged crow and the sky (= Raven Sky). It is a stylish rock tune featuring a blend of English and Japanese lyrics. The cover art revealed today was created by illustrator PODO.
