本日10月24日、24歳の誕生日を迎えたAdoの新曲「患者A」がサプライズで配信リリースされました！ シンガーソングライターのヨエコがAdoに書き下ろした新曲となります。

ヨエコはAdoが以前より影響を受けたアーティストのひとりとして名前を上げていたシンガーソングライター。そのヨエコが作詞と作曲を手掛けた新曲「患者A」で、二人の化学反応が起きたと言える。世の中を劇団に、自らをその中で役を演じる存在に見立てた歌詞が展開します。外ではにっこり笑いながらも、心の中では「あっかんべー」を繰り返す主人公。与えられた役への鬱屈や、周囲への反発を皮肉交じりに描いた言葉が、激しくも響く一曲に仕上がっています。

そして、ミュージックビデオも一挙に公開！ イラストを漫画家の小骨トモ、映像をCymoが担当した本作品は、ニコニコ高校の演劇部に所属する学生のAdoを主人公に、世間に「あっかんべー」をしてやりたいと願う彼女の物語を描いています。

周囲からいじわるをされているように見える日々が、モノクロを基調とした世界の中で繰り広げられ、紫色の文字や赤い線が画面に重なり、どこか懐かしさを感じさせながらも、不穏な空気が漂う映像に仕上がっています。

この度10月24日で24歳を迎えました。
それに合わせて今回サプライズリリースさせていただきました新曲「患者A」楽曲はヨエコさんに書き下ろしていただきました。MVイラストは私の大好きな漫画家の小骨トモ先生、映像はCymoさんに制作していただきました。MVの主人公は私自身で、私という人間像を表したような作品になっているかと思います。

Adoさん、お誕生日おめでとうございます！
この度は、とても喜ばしい日に発表されます新曲「患者A」を書かせていただき大変光栄です。この曲はノンフィクションではありますが、私では表現できないスケールで歌っていただきたく、是非Adoさんにと我が子（曲）を託しました。Adoさんの声で出来上がった音源を聴いた時、やはり「患者A」をお願いして間違いなかったと感激いたしました。また、コーラスでちゃっかり私も共演させてもらい、嬉しかったです。
今年1年、Adoさんにとってより素晴らしい日々になりますように願っております。
ご多忙かと思いますが、お身体にはお気をつけて、ますますのご活躍を楽しみにしております。

ニコニコ高校演劇部に所属している学生のAdoちゃん。しかし本番前に衣装の一部がなくなってしまったり、ゴミ箱に捨てられていたり…。どうやらみんながいじわるをしているみたいですね。そんな世間にあっかんべーをしてやりたい！そんなAdoちゃんが主役のMVです！
…しかしそれは｢本当｣なのでしょうか？それとも彼女の中の｢本当｣でしょうか？
激しくもどこか懐かしい音楽とともに、白黒の頃のAdoちゃん達に贈る。そんな映像になっていたら嬉しいです。

Celebrating her 24th birthday today, Ado surprise-releases her new single “Patient A,” written by her revered artist Yoeko! Music video also unveiled!

Today, October 24, marking her 24th birthday, Ado has surprise-released her new digital single “Patient A”! The track was newly written and composed specifically for Ado by singer-songwriter Yoeko.

Yoeko is a singer-songwriter whom Ado has cited as one of the artists who influenced her. In “Patient A,” featuring lyrics and music by Yoeko, the two artists spark a powerful creative chemistry. The lyrics depict the world as a theater troupe and the protagonist as someone playing an assigned role within it. Smiling brightly on the outside while repeatedly sticking her tongue out in secret defiance, the protagonist channels bitter frustration toward her assigned role and cynicism toward those around her into an intense, deeply resonant anthem.

Alongside the digital release, the full music video has also been premiered! Featuring illustrations by manga artist Tomo Kobone and video production by Cymo, the video stars a student version of Ado in the drama club at “Nico Nico High School,” telling the story of a girl longing to stick her tongue out at the world.
Days that seem filled with petty mistreatment from those around her unfold across a predominantly monochrome world. Overlaid with purple lettering and red linework, the visuals evoke a sense of nostalgia while carrying an unsettling, suspenseful undertone.

On October 24, I celebrated my 24th birthday.
To coincide with this milestone, I have surprise-released my new single “Patient A,” written for me by Yoeko-san. The music video illustrations were drawn by one of my favorite manga artists, Tomo Kobone-sensei, and the video was produced by Cymo-san. The protagonist of the MV is myself, and I feel the work truly reflects who I am as a person.

Happy Birthday, Ado-san!
It is an immense honor to have written this new song, “Patient A,” to be announced on such a wonderful day. While this track is non-fiction, I wanted it to be sung on a scale that I could never achieve on my own, which is why I entrusted my “child” (this song) to Ado-san. When I listened to the finished track with her vocals, I was overwhelmed with emotion, knowing without a doubt that leaving “Patient A” in her hands was the right choice. I was also thrilled to sneak in as a backing vocalist on the chorus!
I hope this coming year brings even more wonderful days for Ado-san.

Ado-chan is a high school student belonging to the drama club at Nico Nico High School. But right before showtime, parts of her costume go missing or end up thrown in the trash… It seems everyone is being mean to her. She just wants to stick her tongue out at a world like that! That’s the Ado-chan who takes center stage in this MV!
…Yet is that the actual “truth”? Or is it merely the “truth” inside her own mind?
Paired with music that is both intense and strangely nostalgic, I hope this video serves as a heartfelt dedication to all the Ado-chans of those black-and-white days.
